From ALL of our Member Clubs and their dedicated Volunteers in OFSC District 2...We hope you enjoyed your visit on our trails. Have a safe fun filled summer. We look forward to seeing you again in 2010 - 2011!
The 2010 snowmobiling season has came and went. The club had another successful year with 1800 hours groomed. The addition of a fifth grooming unit to our fleet proved to be a very good purchase which resulted in more consistency in our grooming for the majority of the season. At this time we like to thank all the people that have made the trails possible. This includes all of the generous landowners, our grooming team, our office staff and our many volunteers that keep the club running. Without everyones contribution the trails wouldnt be what we have all come to love and enjoy. Looking ahead at the summer we are asking all off season trail users to show a bit of respect. Respect for private property by staying off of it, respect for public property and crown land by waiting until it is dry to use it and finally respect for the clubs volunteers by not destroying or stealing the many signs, bridges and culverts that they have worked tirelessly to install. Have a great season and see you in 2011
It is quite apparent that our 2010 Snowmobile season has come to a sudden and abrupt end. Although we all suffered from an extremely mild winter we were fortunate enough to maintain good groomed trails longer than most, even north of us. We wish to thank all of our permit holders, the dedicated volunteers and certainly the landowners. As we continue on into the next season of summer fun we need to remind riders that we only have permission to ride privately owned property on snowmobiles. Snowmobile trails are NOT ATV trails. Please dont jeopardize the use of our sledding trails over inappropriate ATVing. Our volunteers are now servicing, cleaning and putting away all of our equipment to prepare for another season. We are always looking for new faces. Dont be afraid to offer your help! Have a great summer and we look forward to having the pleasure of meeting you next season.

2009-2010 turned out to be one of those snowmobiling seasons we would rather forget about in the southern part of the province. We received barely enough snow in December to get our trails open but then Mother Nature frowned on us and gave nothing during January and February.
Only through the expertise of our groomer operators, we were able to keep our trails in fair to good condition with light and less frequent grooming. Cold weather helped keep everything frozen and maintain our trail base. Our apologies to those around Crystal Lake area, as we were given a very limited time for trail construction before loosing our funding from the National Trail Coalition. After construction was completed, we did not receive any new snow to provide a trail base. We still have more work to do in that area and then we will have a very smooth, safe and stable trail for many years to come. Due to the low snow condition this winter, this trail would not have been in very good condition even without the construction.
TMSC would like to thank all of our landowners and volunteers for all their generosity and extra work they did to help keep our trails open. To all our permit holders, please bear with us and we will do everything possible, with Mother Natures help, to provide you with some of the best trails in the area for 2011.

The Buckhorn District Snowmobile club has closed its trails for the season and hopes that everyone using our trails this past winter experienced a smooth and safe ride. Considering the lack of snow this year the Groomer Operators did an excellent job of maintaining the trails. They logged approximately 450 hours this season as compared to 600 hours last year. Year after year our trails keep getting better, thats due to the dedication of a core body of volunteers that start working on trail brushing, bridge reapairs, etc in the summer, getting ready for the coming season. Not to forget the Trail Patrol and other volunteers that perform important functions for the Club. A big thank you goes out to the Landowners who help make the trail network possible. The Club will be re-decking a couple of bridges this spring so if you are looking for something to do some Saturday this Spring please contact the Club by going to www.bdsc.ca and select the Contact the BDSC tab. Have a safe and fun filled summer

Closing the trails means the 2009/2010 snowmobile season has ended. All the volunteers made a great effort putting endless hours into keeping the trails open and in great shape. A BIG THANK YOU to all of you for your help and for making it possible to clear and open at least some of our trails. Nature sure had us challenged this season.
Also a big thank you goes out to the riders purchasing their permits from us and therewith supporting this club. This ensures that we can stay connected with other Districts and other rider areas. Purchase where you ride. Thank you to the generous landowners in our area who allow us to maintain our trails on their properties. Only this way, we can enjoy our beautiful natural wilderness.
To all who were committed in their own way to support the club, THANK YOU!
Please remember: ATVs are not allowed on OFSC trails on private land in any season. Help us to keep the snowmobile trails open by not trespassing on private land.
Thank you for supporting this club.

A big thank you to everyone involved and supporting our club. We had a very successfull season even though mother nature provided us with poor snowfalls. We had more volunteers this year taking the load off the main members and hope to have even more next year. A big THANK YOU again! Plans for next season include rerouting some trails off of roads as well as staking Jacks Lake around the narrows and lots more to come.
Have a Great Summer and hope to see you in 2010-2011 season
