John Power Lifetime Achievement Award

This prestigious lifetime achievement award is presented to one provincial recipient annually in honor of visionary leader, John Power, who laid the foundation for all the great work we do today. The winner is selected based on their significant contributions to the club and/or district with success in leadership, culture, projects, external relations and overcoming challenges throughout their volunteer life with the organization.

Awarded to: Michel Garon

For more than three decades, Michel Garon has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and passion for organized snowmobiling, serving at the club, District 15, and provincial levels and helping shape the sport across Ontario. From expanding trail networks and organizing major fundraising events to designing and leading infrastructure projects, Michel has consistently transformed his skills, energy, and volunteer spirit into lasting contributions for snowmobilers and communities. His visionary leadership helped unite and strengthen District 15 through significant organizational changes, while his innovative district revenue-sharing model provided a sustainable solution for struggling clubs and helped establish a framework that influenced the OFSC’s province-wide approach to equalization. A respected ambassador for the Northern Corridor du Nord, Michel has built strong relationships with municipalities, businesses, tourism partners, riders, and snowmobiling organizations across Canada, while proudly promoting the region’s Francophone culture and hospitality. Above all, Michel’s unwavering enthusiasm, mentorship of new volunteers, and commitment to improving the sport for future generations exemplify the leadership, service, and lifelong passion worthy of the highest recognition in Ontario snowmobiling.

CCSO Excellence Award - Outstanding Snowmobile Club

The Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations’ (CCSO) Outstanding Snowmobile Club award must be a member club of a federation or association affiliated with the CCSO that has distinguished itself in the following areas: management, trail development, grooming and quality, safety, environment, promotion and development and community outreach.

This award demonstrates how dedicated Pineridge Snowmobile Club’s volunteers are to maintaining high-quality, safe, environmentally responsible trails while building strong community, landowner, and rider relationships.
