Ontario Snowmobiling Delivers One of Its Most Memorable Seasons
April 23, 2026: As the 2025-2026 snowmobile season begins to wind down across much of Ontario, the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) is reflecting on a winter made possible by extraordinary volunteer dedication, community partnerships, support from the Government of Ontario, and the shared commitment of snowmobilers across the province.
OFSC Celebrates National Volunteer Week and Launches Year-Long Commitment to Ignite Volunteerism
Barrie, ON - As part of National Volunteer Week 2026 (April 19-25), the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) is proud to celebrate the thousands of volunteers who power Ontario’s snowmobile trail system - while also kicking off a renewed, year-long commitment to strengthening volunteerism across the province through Volunteer Canada’s Ignite Volunteerism initiative.

[Barrie, ON - February 6, 2026] - Snowmobiling in Ontario is built on passion, preparation, and people - and from February 9-16, those elements come together during Ontario Snowmobile Safety Week, a province-wide initiative led by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and other enforcement agencies.
Ride Safe, Ride Smart: International Snowmobile Safety Week Returns January 10–18
[Barrie, ON - January 9, 2026] - As winter weather continues to shape trail conditions across Ontario, snowmobile clubs, safety partners and law enforcement are proud to join together to observe the annual ISMA International Snowmobile Safety Week, taking place January 10-18, 2026.

Our volunteers are the heart of Ontario's snowmobiling community - dedicating their time, skills and passion to keep our trails safe, our clubs strong, and our sport thriving. This year, Volunteer Canada is celebrating International Volunteer Year 2026 with the Ignite Volunteerism theory and in celebration, we'll be sharing all of the shout outs submitted by snowmobilers in appreciation for all of their hard work.

2025 CCSO Award Recipient
We are thrilled to announce that an OFSC volunteer has won the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO) Brenda Welsh Outstanding Woman in Snowmobiling award! This award is presented to a female volunteer in recognition of their contributions in one or more of the following areas: rider experience, volunteer culture, initiatives and/or partnerships.

Impact of the Proposed ALTO High-Speed Rail Network on Ontario Prescribed Snowmobile Trails
The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) appreciates the opportunity to participate in the public consultation on a proposed high-speed rail network in the Province of Ontario. The OFSC opposes this project as currently proposed, due to its impact on riders, communities, local businesses, landowners, and Ontario’s winter economy.
