OFSC Story Contest!

We want to hear about your favourite ride this past season! It can be a ride you enjoyed with friends, a significant other or your family. Tell us about your ride, any highlights (scenery, landmarks, towns, wildlife, etc.) and why it was your favourite.

How To Submit Your Entry

Any entries not meeting the criteria below will not be included in the contest.

 

Contest Rules:

  • 2-3 paragraphs describing your best snowmobile ride on OFSC prescribed trails from the recent 2023 season
  • Include 1-3 photos to accompany your story
  • Photos should be JPG or PNG format
  • Pictures of snowmobiles:
    • Must show a valid 2023 Ontario Snowmobile Trail Permit where the front of the snowmobile is shown
    • Should be in single file and on the correct side of the trail unless at a lookout or gathering area
  • Pictures can not show:
    • Any alcoholic beverages or cannabis products
    • Garbage or property damage
    • Off-trail riding or blocking trails
    • Any stunt riding
    • Riders operating snowmobiles without helmets

Entries must be submitted no later than May 12, 2023. Any submissions received after that date will not be considered for the contest but may be included in future inclusion on the OFSC’s Trailside Talk website page, newsletter or social media accounts.

The winner will be contacted by the email address provided in their submission. If no response is received within one week, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner forfeits their rights to the prize.

Consent:

By entering the contest, entrant authorizes the OFSC to use their name, photograph(s) and/or information (story) related to their experience with organized snowmobiling in Ontario. The entrant understands this information may be used in publications, including electronic publications, social media, website, audiovisual presentations, promotional literature, advertising, community presentations, letters to media, and/or similar ways.

The entrant’s consent is freely given as a public service to the OFSC, without expecting payment and releases the OFSC and their respective employees, board members, districts, clubs, chapters and volunteers from any and all liability which may arise from the use of such news/media stories, promotional materials, written articles, and/or similar ways.

The entrant understands that they can revoke this release at any time in writing and that the use of any of their photos or stories authorized by this release will immediately cease.
